Default mods!

2002 5spd V6 I just got a CAI finally, but I want MAS!!!! I was thinking underdrive pulley's..but I don't know much about them. How much should I expect to pay and what should I get for what I pay? I'm also thinking about a tuner. Which one should I get and how easy and what information do you need to know to program it? Also a throttle body. I read in an earlier post that the 65mm is best for the 3.8 v6? I also read that the spacers for the T/B are no bueno, cause I was thinking about maybe getting one of those....So my main question is what besides NAS, gears, and super or turbo charger, is the best and most rewarding bolt ons?

GEARS!!!! Best bang for the buck!! Go 4.10's or go home. Plain and simple
As for the tuner..get the SCT. They will set you up with 3 levels of tune.
Ask Autobadges.com for pricing on the pulley. All you really need is the crank pulley. That's where the HP transfer is at. The others MAY give you an extra 2-3 HP MAX.
T/B spacer is a waste of $$$$$
If you do all the bolt ons, the ThrottleBody will also help. BBK only offers a 65mm at this point. BUT..you will need to port out the intake to match it.

Gears would be a really good first mod, but with a $900 or more price tag for installation, parts, and fluid, it's a little pricy.
1.) the cai will run you about $150 for a name brank kit, there was a kit on ebay that was for like $40 or $50, comes out to $70 with shipping, and it's great quality and comes with a K&N filter, it's the one I have, but I don't know if it's still for sale as they were being sold by a racing shop in Cali as clearence items. This will generate 2-6 hp.
2.) all you need is the crank pulley, around $70 or so, depending on your year, 25% reduction is for 94-98, 42% reduction is for 99-04. They will free up about 5 or so hp.
3.) A TB won't do squat unless you port your intake, and do a cam swap, even on a ported upper intake you might get 3hp, so it's a waist unless you do the mod listed as my future mod in my sig. Just to let you know, TBs will cost around $250
4.) TB spacers, don't worry with them, their crap.
5.) True flow dual exhaust. Price will vary with mid pipe brand and muffler brand, but will cost you at least $150 for GT take offs, to $800+ for a really good set up like mine, although Harvs isn't bad for the price he paid. Will give you about 2-7 rwhp, but really gives some great torque gains.
6.) A tuner will cost you at least $300 for a good deal off of ebay or the for sale and trade forum, and new will cost about $400. They will only generate about 5 or so hp, if you know what you are doing, but if you have an auto, then they are a life saver as they can really help get rid of that auto lag, and will allow you to go higher into the powerband to allow you to hit your optimal shift point, which is about 5200 rpms by the way, but you will have to set your shift point at 4750 because your tranny always shifts 500 or so rpms late, don't ask me why but it does.
Point is, you'll have to put a butt load of money to get any real hp gains out of your car because bolt ons only do so much.
