Default Buzzing Stereo?

I have the factory mach system in my 03. Lately it will just start buzzing through the speakers and the sound rises and falls with acceleration and deceleration. Sounds like a short, but could be a low battery. Does anyone else have this problem?

could be the fuel pump, the sound rises and falls? do you have the volume control on where the faster you go the radio gets louder?

Sounds more like electrical interference..RF..On older models, I'd suspect the condensor on the alternator..but I don't think newer models have them anymore.

im gonna guess electrical, maybe a short or something behidn the radio,no clue tho,its not gonna be the fuel pump tho,low battery i dont think will have that effect on it...i think someone posted something about engine noise through their speakers a while back in the audio section...

your picking up engine noise. go buy a ground loop isolater and hook that up. might be kinda tricky with the mach system though

Sounds like it could be grounding somewhere... I know I had this problem when I installed my headunit and they had to completey rewire the car.. This usually doesn't happen with the stock systems though.

If the sound is increasing and decreasing then you probably have that thing on where when you go faster the volume rises and when you slow down the volume drops. Just hold your power button that turns on the radio...but im sure you already know that -_-

It's all factory and I've never altered the system. I figured I'd ask here first in case it's an inherent 03 V6 vert problem.
The problem just started and the buzzing is the same no matter where the volume is.

By the way Slicktastyk Matt, that volume up and down with your speed is annoying and I haven't figured out how to turn it off. So I hold the volume ****, then what?
