Ticking in the engine
Every time i start my engine it makes a ticking noise under the hood on the passenger side, i had the car in a shop for a few days and the mechcanic said my exhaust maniflod may be lose...you think he's right?
With the engine COLD, start it up and run your hand over the manifold WITHOUT TOUCHING IT!! See if you feel any puffs of air. If there are, you have a leak. If not, drain your oil filter, and then add a quart of tranny fluid to the oil. Run it a week then change the oil. The tranny fluid is a high detergent oil and if you have a sticky lifter, it can get rid of the crud makin it stick.
i have the same problem but with my driver side....i got a tune up like a week ago and they checked it out....it prolly is an exhaust leak...just like mine....i just wanna kno how much its gonna cost...im gonna fix the leak first b4 my o2 sensor...since that messed up due to the leak...
im having a similar problem... it sounds dead up like an exhaust leak when i first turn on the car... but after about 5 minutes of driving... it goes away. u guys say its a lifter problem???
