do you not read the stickies? or do you not realize that a turbonator is the same thing as an electric supercharger?
alright, i did read the stickys, and no a electric supercharger is not the same thing as a turbonator. a turbonator is a little non-moving spiral set of fins that you stick into ur intake. an electric supercharger ( as per the definition of autoaccessorystore.com) is a small fan powered by an electrical current. and yes for the most part i agree with u guys the ONLY reason i bring this up is because the one that i found is not a ebay rip-off. it is made by MIMO and for some reason i tend to doubt a reputable company such as MIMO would market something that did not do what they claim it should do/ now ive heard a lot of arguments both ways on this matter but it just dosent seem likely that MIMO would market this thing and not be able to back it up. and as for the whole "its a 100 dollar pice of crap"wll take a look at the site for yourself and tel me what you think.
here is there home page...http://www.mimousa.com/home.asp
and here is the page for the electric supercharger http://www.mimousa.com/home.asp?dir=products&prod=952
i actually think this one ight be different form all the rest...just my .02 tho.

dude the turbonator and the electric supercharger is the same concept. theyre both electric fans, just one is mounted inside the intake and the other is just a centrifical attachment like what a real supercharger looks like. they both do the same thing: screw up your car.

Why can't the get in trouble for false advertisement when they claim it can add 35 horsepower?

turbonator website
The Turbonator is a non-moving vortex generator that goes inside your air intake hose, right after your air filter.
not the same as an electric supercharger. Intheory, boost is boost, whether it is driven by parasitic pulleys, or increasing your backpressure. Im not sure why there isnt more investment into a WOT electric fan. I know heat is an issue, but that can be overcome. It would be nice to find a SC that only had adverse effects on ur battery, and didnt leach power. its got to be possible, but i guess nobody wants to put forward to develope it.
