Yes and no, just depends on what type of set up you go with, and if you go intercooled or not.

 

So say i were to go with Procharger @ 11psi w/ intercooler ...would a CAI be worthless?

 

yes. judging by the way you're acting though, an sc is way off. so a few bucks now won't matter for the 3-4k you dump 5 years down the road.

i had a CAI before mine. i got my blower like 4-5 months prior. it's really nothing but a few bucks when you look at the big cost later.

procharger will give you more HP then a Vortech, and you dont need forged internals unless your going to be running something over 15 psi, even then you still have a little room to play

 

Yes you don't NEED them, but they do help.
