Default Windstar Intake. . .

I just heard the other day that if you directly swap the intake manifold out of a windstar 4.0 and put it on the mustang 4.0, you can gain like 30 hp. This is supposively without changing any other parts or making any other modifications. Has anyone else ever heard this?

you may gain 30 hp with a blower setup but not on a stock engine. maybe 5-7 hp but it won't fit under the stangs hood anyways

I don't really mess around w/ 6 cylinders, so it could be any of those sizes. I personally thought it was a 3.8, but then someone told me it's a 4.0. . . Who cares, it's NOT a 5.0! I just though it was completely rediculous that an intake manifold could add that much power.

I've also heard that directly swapping a Bullit intake onto a stock GT will add 5-10 hp.

Thats basically where the extra 40hp on 99-04 sixers comes from
