What do you guys think about reving engines. Bad, very stressful?

Im not sure how it can be bad? Its movin your intrnals of the engine just like when driving and thats totally fine....so i not really sure how it could be bad unless you redline it or more, but this is just my thoughts.

Not that I reccommend it, but I rev mine all the way to 7200 rpms with no problems, but the smoke is ridiculous. Like I said, I don't recommend doing that, but I have a tuner so you're rev limited.

it is bad. especially with a pushrod engine, revving it high without any load on the engine can do harm to your valvetrain, maybe like a valve will get stuck or something. probably nothing to worry about, but don't sit there and rev it to redline for a long time. its different from driving because in neutral the engine isnt pushing against anything.
