Default 01 Mustang MODS, MODS, MODS...

Okay, here's the deal. I just got an 01 Mustang sixer, 5-spd. It's NICE... but I want to make it nicer. My plans for modifications are below. I need feedback on them for my final decisions. Here they are:

Exhaust - 2.25 (or should I got 2.5") duals with Flowmaster (I don't know how they sound on a V6 though) or Magnaflow (heard they sound deeper/better on the V6). Which ones should I get. Also, should I get an H-pipe? Supposedly, the 6 doesn't need it b/c it's balanced, but does it sound/perform any better?

Intake - I got one off ebay... about $50. I know... i know... I should've probably got the expensive one from somewhere.

Chip - does it work good? what kind of gains should i expect? does it require premium fuel. I've seen most people use the diablo chip. The cheapest one i found is on rksports. it's like $250... any ideas?

Headlights - I've though about HIDs... but too expensive. I need new ones b/c mine are fogged up and crappy. I like the smoke tinted ones on ebay... but theres 2 prices for them: like 79.99 and like 199.99. I know everyone here thinks that you get what you pay for... but has anyone got the cheapers ones? Should I? They seem like they're reasonable. And I've heard that Syvania Silverstar (or something) are great headlights.

Wheels - definitely going cobras or torq-thrust (chrome b/c car is black). probably something like 17x8s with some good tires

CONSIDERING:
Suspension - does the bullit suspension upgrade work good. I think they've got it at v6stang or whatever for like 500.00. i don't wanna spend alot on suspension...

Spark/Electrical - What are some good plugs/wires? I've heard nothing but bad out of Bosch plats... but only on some cars. Is this a worthy upgrade? Also, is there any kind of MSD ignition or anything for the sixer?

Thanks, everyone. Jason

Exhaust i would get GT take-offs and just have some flowmaster mufflers put on

Intake, scrap the e-Bay one and get one from autobadges.com, or i have 1 for sale that is MAC with the carb sticker that wont fit on my car

dont get a chip get a diablo hand heald tuner, it allows you to adjust more stuff then a chip

suspention, go to autobadges.com and get a eibach kit

wheels and tires, what size wheels do you have now? if they are 15s get some GT take-off bullits, if they are 16 stay with them and just get some 255 series rubber

Moroso plug wires and i cant remeber the name of the plugs but the best ones are Iradium? plugs, they are $16 a peice though

also, gears gears gears! get some 4.10s and a t-lok

i would stick with the ebay intake unless you have to pass emissions cause they are the exact same minus the carb number. i would just go to a muffler shop and have them make you exhaust cause it would be cheaper than buying bolt up stuff. definately get a tuner, but i have always heard that SCT was better though i have not tried it that is the one i am getting because of all the great stuff i have heard about them. i have h&r sport springs and they make the car a little bit lower than the eibachs, plus they are cheaper. they lower about 1.6 in the front and 1.5 in the back

SCT was better because they offerd tunes for regular, mid grad and premium fuel and diablo didnt, diablo now does

well personally i don't care about that, though i didn't know that. i just heard you could do more with SCT and it was more user friendly.

actually i belive you can do more with diablo, mainly dealing with limiters, SCT just removes them, diablo you can adjust them, you can also get rid of the fuggen trac control

can you run just 87 with the diablo? now that i have read more on the new, i may agree that it is actually better than the sct.

Well... I'm not looking for any kind of super performance, and yeah... gas mileage is still a small factor (hence the V6). Plus, I don't know much about technical tuning a vehicle... like spark advance, etc. I like the plug and play idea. But... what kind of gains would I expect? Are the tuners self explanatory? I just want something to make my intake, exhaust, spark, etc work better. I didnt' see a diablo sport for the 3.8L (like my 01) on that link. Also, why do you want to get rid of trac control? Isn't there a button to get rid of it anyways. But what's the advantage of it? Where's the cheapest tuner/chip? Thanks, Jason

p.s. I'm getting an estimate from my exhaust guy for some Magnaflows (he said they'd sound best)
