Red Lights
Here some bragging I bet all of us in the forums can do. I had a friend pull up next to me at a red light, I did not see him at first. After a couple of seconds I heard my name being yells and looked around a saw him. When we both got to work he was asking why I did not notice him sooner since he had been setting the reving his engine. At this point I had to explaine to him that if I paid attention to every car that pulls up next to me and reves their engine I would never be able to watch the light to see when it changes. Have to love driving a model car that all the little rice burners wish they were driving. Kudos to all of us in the forum for getting our dream cars.
My car is nothing special, but I have experienced alot of this since I put some work into my car. I find it very flattering that people think the car looks fast or whatever. I think it's the cobra r's, the style bar and the fact that I keep it spotless.
Best one yet-
Last weekend my wife and I took our first road trip in our '03 vert (bought in Nov. '05). We were in St. Simons Island Ga. Beautiful weather with temps in low-mid 80's. While cruising the island(s), there was a family (husband, wife, kids) in a Firebird (90's?) that we met several times at intersections and next to us on bridges. Every time they saw us the engine would rev like mad. We got such a kick out of it. Maybe they did it because we laughed so much. Maybe it was for our amusement.
On our last day there, we were checking out of our room and heard an engine being given total hell. It was the same Firebird and family all looking right at us. I guess I should thank them for the compliments. Later.
