Default Engine work questions

hey guys, i am considering getting one of those new top end kits that they sell for the 3.8 mustang. Do you all have any recommendations for a shop somewhere in new england that will do this, and approximate costs. I mean labor, not the parts costs.

Another thing, i am 17 years old, but have been doing little work on cars for a while, brakes, intakes, fluid changes, some electrical and smaller things. I was thinking about putting valve covers on... i know this is purely for show, but is it difficult? As long as i don't mess up the torque specs i should be ok, and as long as the fluid is drained out of the covers right? Also the only covers i have seen are either the chrome stock looking ones, or the bbk alluminum looking ones. Is there a place where i can get ford racing vavle covers for my 2001 v6?

Thanx in advance guys,
Mike
