I have true dual flowmaster 40's (triple chamber/H pipe) on my 2003 vert. I like the sound. Not too loud for the vert, and more aggressive than stock. I wasn't going for volume as much as just wanting a little meaner sounding 6er. Later.

I have an off road x pipe (no name brand) with GT magnaflow cats. Very deep and mellow sounding for a six, with a little bit of sound to them. Not really loud, but deffinitly load enough to make a poing. They are very expensive, but worth the money to me. If you can't afford Mags, then I reccommend both Flow 40s and Flow 50s, they give you a rather aggressive sound, without sounding ricy, just make sure you get an x pipe, as an h pipe may give you a bit of a higher pithced sound than wanted in the upper revs. Hands down I reccommend Borlas, but a set of Borlas cost 2x as much as a set of Mags, which cost 2x as much as a set of flows.

i have true dual flowmasters dumped before the rear axle. previous to this weekend i had them going out the back and let me tell you it sounds 10x better being dumped. yeah it is a little louder inside, but it sounds a lot deeper and less ricey and v6ish than when i had tips and it sticking out the back. dumped exhaust ftw.

i don't have an h-pipe cause that is a waste of money from what i have heard. the duals were on it when i bought it, so i just cut off everything else. yes it does sound more agressive by a long shot.

neither give you any peformence gain from what i have heard. they just change the sound, and if you are going with dumped exhaust then really it is just another piece of metal that you are paying for, just like tips.
