Default Feeling on...

Hey all,

Whats your feeling on the following...specifically if you think the TB spacer actually works or more of a dressup item, and would you just get the TB or TB w/ spacer. Thanks.

BBK THROTTLE BODIES 94-00

BBK's 70mm Throttle Body for your 99-04 Mustang improves performance by approx 8-12 horsepower by improving air flow to the vehicles intake.

99-00 $279.99

Airaid Throttle Body Spacer 99-01 V6

The PowerAid Throttle Body Spacers from AIRAID Premium Filter Company are designed to greatly improve the low-end torque and horsepower
characteristics of your engine. PowerAid accomplishes this by spacing the throttle body one inch and adding a dyno-proven Helix style bore(s). As
the intake air passes through the spacer, the Helix bore creates a vortex action that improves atomization creating a more complete combustion
and an efficiently burning engine. The results are improved drivability and increased fuel efficiency. The PowerAid spacer is 50 state legal, will not
void your new car warranty, and can be used with any grade fuel.

Don't mean to sound like an A hole, but if I have to answer this one more time this week, I'm gonna kill sombody. No, TB spacers don't work, they are the exact size as your stock intake opening, so that defeats the purpose of a TB, secondly they can make mounting up a CAI a pain. TBs only add that much hp on a fully ported upper and lower intake as well as with a cam swap. If you get the TB, you'll still have to port match it to the upper intake, and even then, you'll only gain a maximum of 5 or so hp. If you have any questions pertaining to any of this, read through the forum, because we discussed this same thing yesterday.

Sorry to put you out by asking my question, but I didnt see the referenced conversations specifically regarding the TB spacers, and I did review some of threads that I thought might be topical.

Oh and here's a thought...instead of being bitter about a thread for which you have responded to before. and instead of
sound(ing) like an A hole
just don't F-ing reply!
