Default PROMBLEM

I have a 80 mustang convertable with a 200 ci straight six in it. It is pretty beat up so i decided to pull that motor and put it in my 85 4 cylinder mustang. but then yesterday i got to looking at it and the place were the motor mounts bolt on is longer in the 80 than the 85's so i dont know if it will fit or not. Does anybody know a solution?

Well it probably won't because you going from a straight six to a 4 cylinder but its not hard if you a buddy who's a welder just have him make some new brackets and motor mounts.

ORIGINAL: 81ponycar

It says mini me because i use to have a 351 in it but swapped it for this insanely fast 302.
ORIGINAL: 81ponycar

IT IS A 302 BLOCK BOARED 30 OVER ,ROSS 12.5 TO 1,CHP RODS,CAST STEEL CRANK,GIRDLE,APRBOLTS,COMETICS HEAD GASKETS, SVO ALUMINUM HEADS,FULLY PORTED,7/16 ROLLER ROCKERS WITH GIDLE.COMP CAM,CUSTOM GRIND FOR CAR CRAN ROLLERS,FLUID DAMPENER,SFI FLEX PLATE,CUSTOM 650 HOLLEY EDLEBROCK VICTOR JR PORTED TO HEADS.
You say this...so why are you bothering with a straight 6?

Does anyone smell BS around here?

to answer the original question, the inline 6 k member is different from the 2.3/5.0 k member, so you'll have to swap them between cars
