Okay on a 94 V6 when should i Use the O/D Button, i just realized mine worked. Like at what speeds and how long of a drive?

k i knew that much hehe but okay well here is my real question I drive about 8 or 9 miles on the interest to school/work so during that time if there is no traffic and i go a constant 60 or 70 should I turn my overdrive on for that?

it wouldnt think it could hurt to use it i just leave mine in overdrive all the time and havent had any problems, the overdrive went out once but that was also at 220K mi.

Whenever you start the car the overdrive is on, its also called fourth gear

all time time even on regular streets??? and does the O/D take away HP or anything else?

O/D and power questions tend to lead to pointless debates in this forum. I suggest punching it with the o/d on then again with the o/d off and seeing what you feel

THANK YOU....jeez....when you press the button do you see the little green light comes on saying O/D OFF...and you feel a downshift??....actually since my car was a handmedown from mom (she didnt know how to drive stick) i DESPERATELY want to convert it to a T5....but until then i make do by going from one....to two....to D with o/d off......to D with o/d on....SAD is it not????
