Default True Duals

I have a 2000 V6 mustang and I'm looking to put true duals on my car, but I honestly don't know what steps I need to do to accomplish this. What parts would I need to buy? Should I take out my cats? I'm also looking for something with a reasonable price.

For true duels you may want to go with shorty headers. Then X-pipe set up with cats removed ( taking out your cats you will not pass inspection ). So you could go with hi-flow cats, I like flowmasters 40 series or you can go with magnaflows. The whole package plus install should run you between $400-$500 dollars.

V6 X pipe, with or without cats is up to you, but no cats does give you a deeper sound, and GT cat backs, Magnaflow and Borla are the best, but rather pricy, Flowmaster 40s or 50s will sound decent for the price if you can't afford one of the other two.

I'd go with Flowmaster 40s (or super 40s if you want to) I just getting some off of ebay you can get them for like 70 each Don't forget O/O mufflers and i'd go with high cat exhaust and either
X pipe with them
or Just dump them right after the muffler to give it a Monster V6 sound

Well duhhhhhhhhhh.......... of course that's what you'd go with, because that's what you're getting, only catch is, you don't know how they sound when compared to other systems.

So is it worth it to remove my cats? Or am I just looking to get a ticket? I know it'll sound awesome, but I don't want to do it if I'm going to end up having more problems than I started with.

If they do emission check where you live I would just go with cats. If not, then don't get 'em. It will sound really loud.

I think I'm gonna go w/o them. I've been talking to some other ppl though and they seem to think my car will sound like a ricer with a fart can if I put duals on a v6. Who it be smarter to stick with single exit exhaust and just modify that?
