Default Porting

Im planning on porting my intake...would making a templete with a 65mm circle cut out of it be the best way in laying out what I need to trim off with a drimel (the templete would be placed in the center of the intake opening and left there while i trim around until making contact with the templete) or is there any better methods that i can apply? I will also stuff a large thick cloth in the intake so no flakes are able to get inside...will that work or should i remove the entire assembly...that would suck tho[:'(]...just looking for some good ideas. thanks

well you could take your template and use a magic marker and trace on to the flange how much you want to take off then just buzz away everything up to that point when you have no more marker you are done,, and i know you probably should take the manifold off, but i have done the rag thing before too. it s really your call on how paranoid you are., and those maniolds usually only take about 10 minutes to remove, but its your call
