the thing is i just got rims for it and i dont want to drop a 5.0 in and then have to buy rims and tires again thats all
then just get a detroit truetrac for the 7.5 and a TA girdle from
http://www.drivetrainspecialists.com...duct-5407.html
and
http://www.drivetrainspecialists.com...ford-75-1.html

the 7.5 will handle the 302 with no problem with the above parts.

do not use a stock 7.5 or a ford T-lok as both wont hold up

there is a group purchase of the detroit at $354 here

well if you just bought rims then yeah, do what cobra232 said. it would probably be cheaper that way, and be just about as strong.

Default RE: question

just get an 8.8 rear for a fox body and it'll not only let you use stock rims, but will be a helluva lot cheaper than building the 7.5
