I was wondering if it is possible to swap my old 95 engine to a 99-04 v6. I was wondering this because my engine isn't far off from the 200k miles mark. Will the car need any "major modification" for it to fit in. I want that engine because it is a lot better than the one I have, but then again what isn't.

 

you want to swap a 94-98 V-6 into a 99-04? or the other way around? if its a 94-98 into a 99-04 the big difference is taht the 99-04 engines have 40ish more HP and after mid 96 they dont have head gasket problems, im kinda confused here[&:]

 

I have a 95 mustang v6 and want to drop a 99-04 v6 engine on it, sorry for the confusion. I know the difference between the two engines, thats why I want to replace mine with the better of the two

 

i believe he was saying the engine out of is 95 is getting old and he wants to put in a new 99-04 v6 into his 95 V6 and wants to know what kinda problems he'll face

 

different computers, tranny should bolt up and so should everything else, its just wireing but it should slide right in there
