Default steering column?

When I turn I hear a ping/pop coming from the front (or so it seems). I'm not sure that it has always done it with my new wheels.

Is it when you turn the steering wheel all the way to the right, or just when you turn it at all. b/c if it is when you turn it all the way to the right, if could be making wierd/funny noises b/c you are over steering the wheels....i forget what it is called, over working the steering oump or something, its too early in the morning and i havn't had a shower/coffee yet....

It doesn't really matter much how much the wheel is turned, even if I turn the steering wheel 30 degrees it will just pop/ping then too. So its not that I'm like doing tight u-turns, it will do it on easy right hand turns or even less.

Ok..have the inner tie rods inspected. It sounds like you may have a problem with one. I know..it took long enough for me to reply...
