Default T5 blows

I have a 04 V6 with 18k on it and the T5 which is like new gave out. It ruined the clutch and 2 pieces broke inside of the trans. It's gonna cost $1400 to fix it but is it better to ditch the T5?? Ive heard that they dont hold up good.... I bought hte car used so the warranties are gone...

wow, that sucks, I hope insurance will cover that. either way that car should still be under factory warranty, its 3 years/30k miles and youre under both of those.

If Ford won't fix it under warranty, DEMAND to speak to thier Factory Rep. He/she can over rule the dealer and make them fix it under warranty. Work with them. Be nice at first. And if they still won't fix it, go to the dealership and get LOUD. Loud enough for thier customers to hear you. DON'T cuss them out. DON'T be rude. But get LOUD with the milage, and the problem. They don't like it when other customers hear they are screwing you over. Word of mouth is a VERY powerful thing. This sometimes works. I used to work for a dealer, and I have personally seen this tactic work. If you have a friend who is a lawyer, take him/her with you when all else fails. 18k on an 04 is NOT right for the tranny to blow.
Just because you bought it used does NOT mean the factory warranty is void. It is in force no matter how many times it is sold.

The title was salvage before I bought it, it was hit lightly on the side. Does that break the warranty??, and it has a Tremec T,5 isnt that custom or does that come standard in a 3.9 04?

Not for the drivetrain. It still is in full force. As for the T5 being standard or not, I don't know.
Besides, how is the dealer gonna know it was salvage or not? Unless you tell them...so DON'T!!

They could. But for a car that new with that low milage, why would they? We never, and I mean never looked it up at the Volvo dealer.

When you go to the dealer take your Dad or Mom with you... If not they will think you are some young punk that beats the **** out of the car... Also, make sure their is no rubber on the underside of the car, on the exhaust, wheel wells, or they will say it's from abuse... Good luck
