Default dumb question?

Hey guys I feel incredibly dumb but it is late nad I can not put two and two together so what is a T/A Girdle. It says it is optional when you buy gears and Tloc from rpmoutlet.com What is it so I know whether I need it or not.
Thanks

If one were replacing the gears in their rear end, would you NEED a T/A girdle (im talking the one for the CAR, lol). What exactly is their point? are they just stronger than the stock one?

I didn't replace the girdle what I put 4.10's in and the t-lok. And I DID drag and autocross race her. and street race occasionally

well since we are on this topic, this bearing kit is optional right? http://www.mustangtuning.com/rearendrebuild1.html but if you get it will it really prolong the life of your rear? Is it worth it, pro's con's?

Sure...if you want bearing failure to ruin your nice new gears and/or T-Lok....

so does $650 for gears, t-lok, fluids, bearings, speedometer fix, and installation sound about right?
