Drilling and cutting...But then you will be letting water and debris into the engine bay.

that was my next questions if water got in the engine bay. How are the gt hood scoopes set up? is their any kind of preformance gains from doing this. i mean if if keeps the engine cooler and can see a noticable difference i would do it if not its not that big of a deal.

GT scoops are just like ours. Non-functional. Now, MACH's had a shaker hood. I'm not sure, but I believe they are screened inside.

if want to make it functional, your only option would be to put some sort of mesh on the inside to minimize the crap flying in.

haha well if that is the case i wont do it. I mean if it helps with cooling and helping the engine run better maybe but if nothing big ill leave it alone and keep modding. I was jsut looking a eazy inexpensive way to make the engine run a little better

it wouldnt give you any performance gains, but it would maybe help your engine from overheating.

notice i said help, not prevent.

you could pull a macgyver and fabricate a duct that goes from the scoop opening into a hole in the air box kinda like the mach 1 shaker setup.
