Performance meters?
I was wondering does anyone know of a good performance meter....rpmoutlet.com has a GTech but i have never heard anything about them does anyone one know about this brand an what about someother models?
From what I heard, they're fairly accurate, but not 100%. I say if you have a few buds, and you could maybe make a few bucks off of the device then get it, but if you're just buying it to get your estimated rwhp and times, take the car to a shop and dyno her, it's way cheaper, and much more safe, because you're in a shop as oppossed to the street.
they work very well i have one. Its the gtech pro. Its really close for 1/4 mile times. We tried it out at the track and it was almost dead on jsut about every car we tried it on. I mean it is a tenth or 2 off but gives u a good ball park of what you may run. As for the HP it doenst do as well. I goes more on how hard of a shift. i mean we had a v8 read about 200hp (it was an auto) didnt shift very hard and did the same on a desial bug they only have about 90 hp stock and we made really hard shifts and it said it was 150 hp. So i wouldnt trust that part to much. It is really good with the amount of g force when steering too.
Mine was the g tech pro which one the first one they came out with. There is a newer one now that im sure is more improved.
U can get a used one off ebay alot cheaper than in the stores.
