front support?
okay i have a 2000 mustang V6 and i got me a new hood because the old one had been hit and i just now found out that the reason the new hood doesnt close all the way is because the core support is bent. so im trying to take off the support part in the front (which is broken also) i dont know what in the hell it is called. its the part circled

and then the little PLASTIC screws are circled too. how do i get them off so i can fix the core support? also if the hood only closes partial can i still pass inspection without spending an extra $20 to do it under the table?
and i would really like to get my car inspected today since my gf just got back from rhode island and she doesnt know i have a car yet
, but my dad gets pissed when i drive around since its not inspected or registered
BTW thats not my car its just used for refrence since i cant find my camera

If those are the plastic screws I'm thinking of than you will need to use a flathead screwdriver and maybe a pair of pliers to get them out.Just pry them up and be very carful not to break them if you plan on using them again. When putting them back in just push them in and tap them down lightly with a hammer or the end of the screwdriver.Just BE CAREFUL when taking them out because they break very easily.
