DERSS NICE...BE NICE and COURTEOUS to the judge, KISS HIS *** if necessary...I know in Cali you'd be looking around $500.00 in fines. Ask the judge if you are eligable for Traffic Offender School.

You're in for massive fines and a 3 month license suspension according to IL traffic standards:

Sanctions Following an Adjudication of a Speed Law Violation:
Mandatory Minimum Term: None
Fine:
Amount ($ Range):
1st or 2nd offense-Not more than $1,000
3rd or subsequent offense (within 1 year)-Not more than $1,500 '
4) Driving ≥40 MPH over the speed limit-Not more than $2,500 '730 ILCS 5/5-9-1(a)(2)[/i]
Mandatory Min. Fine ($): None

over 25 MPH above the speed limit-50 points;

(1) If there has been no prior suspension or revocations within 7 years, the following licensing action is taken: 0 through 14 points-no action; 15 through 44 points-2 month suspension; 45 through 74 points-3 month suspension;

Its all on this page if you're interested:

DEFINATLY get a lawyer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your insurance will probably double if they dont drop you all together if convicted. A lawyer can get you "Adjournment with contemplation for dismissal", which means the charges will be dropped like it never happined but if you get caught agian within a certain time period (useually 1-2 years) you face the penaltys from both violations.

Just to clarify.... In Cali, speeding tickets are super easy to beat. Cops usually cite for the wrong thing out here, and depending on the conditions at the time of the ticket (weather, time of day, traffic, etc) it's pretty easy to beat. More like really easy. Look at the particular vehicle code you were cited for, read the code, and make up your mind if you think you can beat it.
