Default performance help

I about to take on the challenge of building a bad *** V6. I have a 1998 mustang and i need help. I need suggestions on what parts to get and especially I need help with TRANSMISSIONS AND TORQUE CONVERTERS. I have a small understanding on those and I need serious help there. Any help is welcome but please if ur here to bash my FORD or my V6 then just leave. I know this is a V6 Mustang thread, but u never know. One other thing, Im not getting an engine swap, I want this one, I know there are better V6's, but Im sticking with this one, so please no engine swap ideas. Thanx.

Alright first things first, dont worry about getting bashed. The people in here are cool and most are very helpful.

I'd say start with the basic bolt ons and go from there. Start with stuff like a dual exhaust setup, a CAI, pullies, gears w/ a T-Lok, a programmer and so on. That should give you a good start, then you can move on to things like the suspension, wheels and tires, head swaps, forced induction and the other big ones.

And by the way, welcome aboard

Edit: And check this out for exhaust tips Exhaust Thread

Well...If you are really going for a BADASS V6 then start with internals! Alot of people might tell you to do bolt ons an there is nothing wrong with that! but if you start with internals then when you go F/I you will be set! If you do your minor bolt ons like U/P,CAI, ect. that is not the true meaning of a massive V6! That would be like building a house an tryin to start with roof! So go with internals to support the horsepower from your badass V6!

strong internals are a awesome idea cus u can take it and add nitrous or a turbo and it wont throw a rod...its like the normal 2.3l stangs compared to a 2.3l turbo coupe motor outa a t bird, yeah same block diff gutts, u put a t on a n/a 2.3l and it wont last long, so u gotta look at the future of what ur gonna do and build ur platform from there, screw bolt ons if u got money and a strong v6 that u wanna keep, but figure ur costs, a swap might be cheaper and yeild better hp, i know u dont wanna hear that but i see motors for like 500 all the time, of course u cant do the 5.0 really so i geuss thats not really true. at least u got a v6 and not a 2.3l, good luck bro and not everyone is a basher

U need as much air to the engine as possbile. Breathing is key, in and out.
