I have a 2004 v6 Mustang with the 3.9L. The only mods done to it is a full magnaflow dual exhaust. My question is could i take the mufflers off and put a pipe in place of it, and then take the cat off and put a test pipe in place of that? The car already sounds good, Im just curious of how it will sound

Dude, Magnaflows are about as good as you're gonna get on a sixer. The only way to make it sound better is to upgrade your mid pipe to an x or an h pipe with no cats.

 

where would a good place be to buy the x or H pipe at?

 

Pypes.com or mustangtuning.com, remember, you need an x or h for a V6, not a GT.

 

if you want a louder and deeper tone, get some flowmasters or some force-pro mufflers from jegs.com .. no mufflers on a 6 will sound like garbage
