Default Help with CAI?

Just curious what the difference is between these cold air intakes. They only have one main function so I am not sure what the difference between the Mac one that everyone recommends for the v6 or this one here on ebay?

Option Racing CAI

Nothing other than be careful what you buy off ebay cause it may not fit. They just say its a racing CAI or it adds so much horespower over the leading competitors because thats how they get there sales. If thats what you want and you trust the company on ebay thats selling it to you then go for it, but be weary!!! everythings not as good as it seems and you get what you paid for, i personally would drop the extra 100 and go with MAC from autobadges.com but thats because ive had mishaps with ebay before and i dont trust a lot of what comes out of it but thats just me others have had great expiriences and have gotten CAI's that work and fit just fine!!! So good luck with what decission you make a be wise!!

My buddy bought that CAI for his 00 mustang and it worked just fine and his car is still running and sounding great. But I cherish my car more than he does and to just buy something cheap isnt the best way I ever go when it comes to my car so just wanted some input from you guys basically

Then go with whats proven if you are not worried about money! Drop the extra 100...in that 100 bucks you get a proven system an a definate fit!

Well they'll both add the same hp, it's just that most ebay cais are very cheply made, and half of the time they won't fit right, and the other problem is that they break down much much quicker than a high quality cai. By break down I mean the hoses will leak, the paint will chip (not a good thing if it gets inside the engine, and the clamps may rust or corrode on you.

yeah with the ebay cai its a risk because ive heard horror stories that sme dont fit right, but on the other hand there have been some that have fit perfectly. so its a 50/50 risk. i went with a mac cai, but it was like 150 bucks [:@] but at least i got everything to fit perfectly

I'm not going to say eBay its a great place to buy one from, but when I bought mine from there it was a perfect fit, and it looks and sounds great, but I guess I was just one of the lucky ones

Well my 98 had an ebay cai, but it wasn't an ebay cheapy, it was a high quality cai that a racing company was clearing out, so I got it at half price for $75 after shipping.
