so basically, all i have to do is put the new belt on right...ok. If i were to buy an underdrive pulley, would it come with instructions, or is it that straight-forward that you dont even need them?
It's pretty straight foreward.
but you might need a harmonic balancer puller. you can pick 'em up at pep boys for like $20-30

I'm planning major engine work down the road, how hard is it to release a bolt that's on there with lock tite?

You'll probably need a breaker bar. Not really hard, but you'll deffinitly have to work for it. Trust us on the pulley thing, Harv is right, no disrespect against your dad, but he has no clue what he's talking about, the UD pulley will not have any ill effects on your car what so ever.

so ultimatly what kit you gunna buy mr omnilash? the asp kit from autobadges or the motoblue kit from rpmoutlet? personally im leaning toword the 42% motoblue kit from rpmoutlet (option a)...

Well remember, the 42% kit isn't gonna give you much more, if any, power over the 24% kit, I say support our sponsors, and get the good stuff. Because hey, if you buy from AB, at least you'll get what you ordered.
