Default headers and exhaust setup

okay I want to do my 99 v6 with long tube headers true duels to the back and flowmaster 40's but I need to know if my stock cat setup will hook into mac lt headers and if I should have the mufflers before or after the rear end and what kind of difference does it make in sound and power if they are dumped right at the muffler no tips. also I want to know if the headers will actually help the sound becuase some people say they aren't needed on a v6.

also I'm going to have this done at a shop so how much do you think it should cost me to put mac lt headers and flowmaster 40's and stock cat/ to true duels?

Default RE: headers and exhaust setup

Hmm. I did the headers myself. Only one side is hard to do. If you give it to a shoop they will easily rob you out of$400. But my exhaust job from headers back was $800. Custom xpipe, Mac mufflers, 3.5 rolled tips. The work that the guy did was amazing! Flow 40's will sound weak/bad if your going to keep the cats on.
