Default rear brake pad replacement question

Prob a stupid question, I know, but here goes. Did the left side no problem, got the piston pushed all the way back into the caliper by turning it clockwise. Followed the same procedure on the right side and no go. Can turn the piston clockwise, but this does not result in pushing the piston back into the caliper. Am I doing it wrong? This is a first time doing brakes on this car -- have done many other vehicles but this one has me stumped. Help!!

They're completely bass akwards from one side to the next. Turn it counterclockwise and you will be good to go.
