Ok, so the weight factor of the v6's is a big problem...but where exaclty does all that weight come from?

haha. that's gross weight. the weight of the vehicle plus max load capacity. the 3.8s barely weigh 3100 lbs. the v8s on the other hand, they run around 200 lbs heavier, even more in the sn95 5.0s.

Im guesssing its because of the heavy interior (like seats) and electronics?

Yeah thats true... if only it was as light as some of those jap cars lol. Newer Celica GT-s dont have much power (133lbs torque) but they only weigh 2400 pounds... its like a damn go cart. Id never trade the sound of my engine for the sound of one of those rice rocket 4bangers... but mustangs are bigger/heavier than our jap competitors

So the V6s only weigh 3100lbs? Its not the lightest weight, but its not bad. And arent the F-bodies heavier?

What year are they? I know the older European cars are build VERY solid which makes them heavy. My mom used to have 2 different Mercedes, both early 90's. She got into an accident in one and it totally destroyed the other car, her car just had a big dent.
