I want to get the Alipine IVA-D100 ( http://www.crutchfield.com/S-EmvTFB7...o&i=500IVAD100). It says it will fit but I belive it will cover up the ac ***** and everything. So Is there any way i could get a new dash where the ***** are below the radio? Or Could i install the radio to the lower carparment? (or will the shifter hit it) Again I drive a 1999 Ford Mustang. Included is a pic of my current setup.

you could swap the places, but hope you know what you are doing. Even if you turned the A/C on, you can flip the screen down for the time being and adjust it..its not that big of a deal

 

i dont know but if you took out the center part of your dash, you could look around and see if it was possible to relocate the ac controls to the little compartment under the radio. if you decide it wont work, you can alwasy kinda reach around when you wanna adjust the ac.

Now I have an 02 so my dash isnt the same, but you can get an idea, Also if you put it in the lower compartment you migh have clearance issues since the bottom compartment is recessed a bit,
