Default True Trac?

I just bought the true trac diff and was wondering what else will I need with it. Can the mechanic reuse the old bearings ect. Or will I have to order addition crap to replacefor the new diff when the old diff comes out?

Do I need the bearings? Is it needed for the install or optional.

the Install kit is not optional. you need it. you wouldn't cut corners building your engine. it is just as wise not to with the rear.

richmond gear make a good install kit available from www.summitracing.com part# RMG-8310451

you also need to follow a proper breakin period. drive the car under 60mph for no more than 30 minutes, then let the rear cool fo al least an hour before driving again. repeat this for at least 400 miles and your bearings will be seated properly and give you a nice strong rear

Is the install kit DTS offers good. Thats where I ordered the new diff. Ill order it tomarrow. Also I planned on going easy on the new diff to break it in but 400 miles sounds like a long time. That sucks. After installing the diff youre not free to two wheel burnouts yet.

A Cobra. What install kit did you use? Im confused. The one at summit is 27 spline.
