maybe I didnt understand your question. do you want to mod your trans at all, or just get the most of what youve got?

the D-2-D shift

start out in drive on a launch powerbreaked till the wheels almost start to spin then right before the tranny shifts into second from first pull the shifter from drive down into 2nd and hold it there till 5,000 rpm's and pop it back into drive.

this is a little known program in the ECU to improve the 1-2 shift line pressure. it is not reccomended to do it all the time but only when racing (at the track i might add)

the 1-2-D shift is worthless and turning off the OD like alot of people believe is faster is worthless too

the D-2-D shift will on some cars that are stock chirp the tires going into second from first. my 98 would literally smoke the tires down the road for about 50 ft going into second gear with the procharger and 3.45 gears without the shiftkit

D-2-D shift pwns all

not likely because it does not change the line pressure at all. you are most likely getting lucky

try the D-2-D shift and tell me if it isn't extremely quick and hard shifting compared to stock

So powerbreakng at 1500 rpm can damage the transmission? I thought it would be ok as long as you stayed below 2,000. I didnt know it would kill the tranny at the low rpms. Well I know the brakes are placing an extra load on it b/c it cant move the car freely. But I thought it was better than shifting from N to D or N to 1-2-D. Is there a trans brake for the V6 autos?

i can also get a small chirp out of 1-2-D but when i do the d-2-d i get a nice loud chirp that everyone looks and says, holy chit thats an auto 6!?

i would think 1-2-d would be the same though, its going into second to firm it up?

I do 1-2-D and it's defintely better than just flooring it. Of course I'm pretty new to this and just kinda figured this out by playing with it on this abandoned road by my work

there are no programs in the ECU that improve or increase line pressure with the 1-2-3 shift. the D-2-D shift however is a program in the ECU that increases line pressure
on the 1-2 shift

i never really race my car, but tell me, is this really safe for your tranny to do?
