I guess most of you are right. But I'd rather have a 6 and have enough money in a few years for a down payment on a house vs a suped up 8 that gives me the mileage of H2. Funny what money does to you.

yes keep ur six, just dont mod it, use it for transportation and save ur money. remember, a car is a lousy investment. if your trying to get a house or school, they are much better investments ESPECIALLY a house. might as well wait a few more years til u can afford it. im 20 and im working my way to pay for my own mustang gt but thats cuz i have nothing really bogging me down from gettin one besides school but thats what fafsa is for.

hey, one thing that hasn't been mentioned are generals costs that go with a V8 or cobra or whatever you decided to buy. You have to realize if your young insurance is going to kill you. + If you have to support yourself in an apt or house. I just hate to see a thread weeks down the line saying have to sell my car asap. V8 sounded awesome to me but i realized i can't pay for a Girlfriend and a V8's insurance + Gas and support myself. I bought a V6 and moded as the money came in it. Just look at your money situation is all.
Ahh another good point, we have some pretty smart members here in the sixer section, now i see why jeremys here all the time!!
insurance is only a little bit more a month, as for gas milage, my buddy gets 21 mpg WITH 4.10s, i get 20 stock[&o]

I searched around. It would cost an extra $60 a month. [:@]

Keep the V6. With the money you were willing to throw at a V8 you can put into the 6 (supercharge it). And have the performance of a V8 without the insurance cost of a V8. I know what you are saying. We all do. As I have added mods and planned new mods to come, I have thought about how fast it could have been on a V8 and how fast my next mod would be if I do it on a V8 and not V6. If you are worried about your girl friend, they dont know or care wether its a V6 or V8. They just know its a mustang and they look nice riding in it next to their boyfriend. Now if there is a hansome guy with a V6(you) and a hansome guy with a V8 thats nicely equiped and she has a choice. Its like comparing penises. She'd probably take the guy with the V8.

Well from what I've been told, you've got to be a real idiot to get dropped once you're in a union. I'm on building and grounds maintenance. A friend of mine works there but he's security. He said these guys have the easiest jobs. As long as I show up on time, I'm pretty much set. That's not to say I'd get half assed, because I know that I'm easily replacable by hundreds of others on the list that I beat. They just want an honest days work for 5 days a week. There's no constant supervision during the day. You've got a list of things to do. Once they're done, you radio in for whatevers next. Rinse and repeat.

It could work out though. I could have the 6 paid off by early January, my insurance ends around the end of December.
You get paid 45k for the easiest job in the place on the grounds and maintenance crew?

This is like a ***** analogy right? LOL. Well I talked to my relative. He said to stick with the 6 as well. I mean he's got a mean *** 8, but he said the gas mileage sucks. He's got a truck for the winter, and a Caddy for a daily driver. He only brings the Stang out for cruising or to the track.

You guys are right, most girls dont care about engine sizes. All they care about is Mustangs. V8 Mustang = Impressive, V6 Mustang + House = Naughty.

So as it stands, I'm sticking with the 6. I got a pep talk about how all the money that would be dumped into the 8 would be 100x better dumped into investments. My ego will take a hit at red lights next to an 8, but hopefully the idea of having my own house in a few years will ease the WOT pain.

Yeah NewMex. Thats why people keep telling me that I'm so lucky. They're so powerful. If you have to work against them for jobs, they're pains in the ***. If you work for them, you're set for life. Union jobs whether its UPS, FedEx, transit, dock workers, whatever.... it's like being a cop. Sure you only make $30-$50K depending on how long you've been on the force. But play your cards right, and you can retire mid 40s. As long as you realize you aren't Donald Trump. I had no idea I'd be making this type of money. The only hired like 12 other guys besides me. I had 4 background checks before my papers would process. My dad says the Teamsters are like the mafia of working. Once you're in, you're a made man. This is why you've got to be incredibly careless to get fired. If you think they're firing you just because they dont like you, you file a grievence. This is how the strikes are started. You cant really bully them around. But if you show up and do your work, there's only one direction, UP.
