Whats the difference between a turbo charger and a supercharger? like Hp wise? and price wise? anything will help...

 

turbo uses exhaust gas to build boost, a centri supercharger is like a belt driven turbo and makes little boost until 3k rpms, a roots type will give you constant boost and lots of torque

 

what would be better for a 6? racing wise?

 

well the motor is a great turbo build up as its a modified copy of buicks GN motor, but its not always smog legal, so i would go with a 11 psi procharger from vmptuning.com

do you live in an emisions controlled state. if not, go to www.tmaturbo.com and order the race kit for 4 PSI. it will make almost the same power as a chitty *** procharger

 

more like about 50-60rwhp less and 50ftlbs less than an 11psi procharger

J's twin turbo makes 360rwhp at 10psi procharger can make a solid 300rwhp on a splitport

8 psi TMA singleport kit with 42 lb injectors makes 250rwhp and 300ftlbs
11psi procharger with running stock 14lb injectors and FMU makes 230rwhp 270ftlbs

is turbo better. you bet but the procharger is still a damn good unit
