Default Plug wires

Just bought my first mustang, 2000, 3.8. I know this is going to sound like a real beginners question but, are there any secrets to changing the three plug wires on the right side of the motor(passenger side)? They are extremely difficult to reach. Tucked up tight against the engine and fire wall, or is it a pain for everyone?

Dude, V6 wires are nothing compared to a V8, my number 8 plug was damn near impossible to get out. I had very few problems doing the plugs and wires on my V6, maybe a 15 minute job, it's just a matter of having the right length socket wrench for the right plug.

could be worse, you could own an fbody and have to drop the engine to get to the rear plugs[8D]

Plugs were easy, there finished. What I am having difficulty with is the plug wires, especially the ones on the passenger side of the engine. Plugs were a piece of cake. There has got to be a easier way than what I have been trying.

You'll need a spark plug socket, a 2 or 3" extender, and a 8 or 12" socket wrench, then it's just a matter of getting the right leverage and working it out.

So are plug wires worth it? I think I've asked this before... Cant remember. I mean yeah I could have some nice blue wires, but if stock wires are fine I'll keep them on.

Yes, they last longer than stock, deliver a more steady electric pulse, and look damn cool.

They really are a pain but not as bad as they could be. You can get them out with just a spark plug socket and a socket wrench. I think I ended up getting my last plug out on the passenger side from under the car.

Jesus Christ, they'r not that hard to get out, hell I managed to change out 8 plugs on a GT, 3 of which were a pain, in 2 hours, the V6 I could do in 15minutes, just work out a comfortable spot and position, then apply some leverage, and walah, they're out.

Maybe I need to be more specific. The PLUGS were easy and only took maybe 20 to 25 minutes. The trouble that I am having is with the plug wires on the passenger side of the engine. The wires are routed from the drivers side between the engine and fire wall to the passenger side. There are two clips on the back side of the motor that the wires go through. Facing the engine the clip on the right side is fairly accessable, but the one on the left side is burried beneath a bunch of hoses ect. Just wondering if there are any tricks to the trade when it come to changing the wires on this side or if its just going to be a pain?
