Default installation kit

i put a headunit in my 2000 and need the correct pocket installation kit for the hole where the cd player used to be. I ordered a pocket off of cardomain and it didnt fit...i cannot find this anywhere but i look at ppls pictures and they all have it...can someone help me

If you cant find it from anyone in here, check out the audio section. Theres a couple of guys in there with a thread for any question you can come up with. They both have a lot of experience and I'm sure one of them would know. I can get the link in a second.

EDIT: that thread is dying, but try PMing 1998gtcorpus, he is the one that was answering the questions. I believe the other guy was ttocs.

Crutchfield has a great universal kit for the mustang. Mine fits perfectly.

i found a pic of the thing i made. it is a piece of wood...now all dented and stuff from bein in a box full of crap...i cut it and rounded the corners a little then sanded it realy smooth, primed and painted it to match the rest of the dash then put a ford emblem on it from walmart. i got a lot of complements on it when it was in the car.

edit: oh and on the back of the wood i have 2 more pieces sticking back w/ the metal clips from the factory cdplayer. as you can see i have the holes for the din removal tools. that way i could remove it if i ever decided to go back to the original setup...like i did.
