I have the stock 16s on there now and im looking at 17 cobra r rims or 18 mach 1 rims. How much will they slow me down over stock?

 

not significantly. but it also depends on how wide they are and what theyre made of.....essentially the heavier they are the more they will slow you down. but 17x9s wont hurt u 1 bit. thas only a inch wider than the stock GT rims

 

i went from my stock 15 x 7's to 18 x 8.5's they didnt slow me down at all i dont believe but that is because i got aluminum rims that only weigh like 25 lbs

 

yeah thas wut i said...depends on what theyre made of....basically lighter/bigger rims will be alot more expensive

 

i bought some konig beyonds they are like inside out bullits they arent that pricey either

 

gonna slow you down significantly... you put the $$$ in rims an no $$$ in real mods... yep... significant decrease in speed.... in my opinion... [:-]

yup. more weight+same power=an even slower car.

 

i mean if i got some cobra 17x8 would it make that much of a diff
i plan on getting the stage 2 ssm power pack next jsut gotta save the money

 

Save the money in rims an get a supercharger....
