Default Brighter Headlights?

The OEM head lights where scratched and yellowed beyond repair. At least beyond my ability to repair. So I purchased after market lights from Mustang Tuning. I got the smoked lens which look awesome. I upgraded the light bulbs to the Luminics High Performance Headlight Bulbs but frankly they are not very bright. The lights are rather dim in fact.

Can anyone recommend a brighter bulb?

The smoked lens ones:

Also ordered the recommended Luminics 57007 pure white light blubs.

The headlights look awesome but I'm not happy with the performance. One of them has a leak so I have bad condensation. In addition, as I've said the lights are not very bright at night. The old bulbs were brighter.

I mean they are smoked... so they aren't gonna be as bright as standard clear.. also, the way they reflect out may be different. I really love my Silverstar bulbs though.. I don't really have experience with the luminics.. I think I paid a little more for the silverstars than those luminics cost..

When I purchased the headlights I was concerned they would be darker due to the smoked lens so I was going to buy the clear ones. The sales guy told me the smoked lens do not diminish the brightness of the lights becuase the lens is clear, the smoked look comes from the back part of the light.

Yeah well.. I' still sure the mirror coating isn't exactly the same... like the angles of the lil mirrors will affect the reflection of the light

im sure the angles are exactly the same. they mirrors are just smoked. the headlight not being bright doesnt really have to with the bulb. its more the smoked mirrors but brighter bulbs will obviously be brighter

the mirrors aren't smoked and neither is the lens...i have the same headlights and i bought them off ebay when they first came out....i WAS going to get them from mustangtuning but the sales guy was a douche and told me that the lens was smoked which in fact it is NOT...i had silverstars for a while and just got a HID kit for my bday...you need to adjust the new lights as they are cheap aftermarket lights and aren't aimed right....i taped off where my original lights' beam was aimed on a wall and then i switched to the new housings and adjusted them to match the original beam....they work a lot better now
