justin's car is a dd. it is a completely stock internally 3.8. 14psi made just over 400rwhp on pump gas. 100 octane race gas and 17psi he made 450rwhp on the stocker. only fuel supporting mods were done to the car.

there are many dd's out there in the 400rwhp range. most are turbo's but a few blowers are running that power level

the cam is a comp cams cam. the specs are 218/224 duration, and .55" lift. i went with 1.7 roller rockers. i am told this is a good blower cam. compression is stock except for .030" shaved heads. i have a boxed SSM upper manifold and ported and polished lower without IMRC. for headers i have MAC long tubes. mid-pipe is 3" custom X. cat-back is a 3" MAC for 99-04 GTs with 4" gibson tips. what else do you want to know? redline is set at 5500 rpms.

so compression is stock except .030" shaved heads? dude that is alot to shave heads and usually requires intake spacers to seal everything up. you need .030" shorter pushrods too.

stock compression is already about 9.4:1 and .030" shaved would put you about 10.6:1 and running a blower? i can see why it makes 325rwhp at 7psi but that thing would be detonating like a bitch with that high of compression. you brother must be a tuning genius

also with those heavy breathing stage 3 heads and intakes combined with that cam why only 5500rpm?. even on a stock bottom end that thing can easily rev to 6800 with that setup. 6500 would be a good redline

i don't know if i buy that. sorry

I have another question. Which should I purchase first. A SSM stage 2+ powerpak or a Procharger SC?

i don't know why he has it at only 5500 rpms. i would guess to keep the boost down until i can get the stuff to rebuild the bottom end.i got the heads shaved from SSM. they came with the powerpak. and you can run up to 11:1 compression with 10 PSI and a good tune. BMWs new 335i run 10.5:1 compression and 9 PSI.

they have actually used it for a long time. the original was the BMW 2002. they just didn't bring the cars to the US. check it out in the new Car and Driver. it's on page 54.
