its normal as far as i know i made a post about this too a few days ago because i was concerned about mine and i must have gotten like 15 responses of people saying that theirs does it as well. when the engine has already been runing it starts up no problem?

not really, i didnt notice anything when i left for work at 5pm , then nothing when i went to subway, like 2hours later, but when getting in at subway to leave, it was acting funny, but when it turned over, i was embarrased, so i gave it some high revvs for the guy next to me! and took off!
when i left at 10pm for home, it did it again, so it does it anytime, warm or cold...

thanks,
Tom

as long as you have taken care of it you should be no where close to needing a new engine. i have heard the 3.8 can go over 200k miles with no trouble.
