I recently got rims and tires, but I don't like how there is no meat on the rims, the tires are 215/40ZR/18 89W. They didn't have any taller tires in stock so I wasn't complaining, I got em for a good deal, $750 brand new. What size would you guys recommend as far as height goes?
Keep in mind I plan on lowering it 1.5in with tokico.

Dude, forget about " height ", you desperately need width - go for 265/35WR/18 Fuzion ZR1 - great tire for $136 ( TireRack )- although if you can find 275's all around ( no bigger than this in front ! ) even better.

 

it would help if we knew how big the rims were also

I thought the 18 on the end of 215/36/18 told you they are 18s

 

Barge, you're right- the 18 at the end is the tire size...but the actual wheels you have are 18 x 6, 18 x 7, 18 x 9, etc ?

You have 215's on an 18x9 rim???

 

definitely get the 265/35/18...see that's the prob I find with 18's- with 17 wheels you have a much greater variety of tires, for better price.
