thats not y the verts weigh more. they weigh more because they put alot more reinforcement in the frame to make up for the roof being gone. they wanna keep the stiffness of the chasis in the vert atleast close to the one in coupe

The power convertibles weigh more. The whole moving the top mechanism. I don't think tops you put down yourself weigh as much as coupes.

the weight that is says is just the car, minus the engine. If you would look at the curve weight on the door of the car, its over 4000lbs. mine is a lil over 4300 lbs as its a vert.

Cant tell you what curb weight is, but GVW is HOW MUCH weight a car can support. So its maximum payload with all passengers and full cargo. Basically what it can handle, lol

gross weight = curb weight(weight of the car topped off with all fluids including gas but no cargo or passengers)+maximum cargo capacity
so basically if your cars curb weight is 3000lbs and it can support a maximum of 2000lbs when fully loaded, its gross weight is 5000lbs. get it?
