What does it take for a 99-04 6er to beat a 05+ 6er that has exhaust?

gears, pullies, suspension, a good tune, a good driver and then some. correct me if im wrong, but ive seen in the 4.0 section that just swapping mufflers puts down 10 more rwhp than stock. those 4.0s are pretty impressive.

I wouldnt go THAT far. But stock for stock, an S197 will run ya. All you need is exhaust and a CAI. Ive beaten one out driving and one at the track was running a tenth faster than me. I could a five speed with my mods running the same ETs as a stock S197.

eh idk. i dont really follow up on the 4.0s that much. one of my buddies has one though and it does feel a LOT quicker than mine just for having a mesely 20 hp over me and 20 lbs of tq...feels like it has more.

Now here's a challenge, keeping up with your buddies 06 GT, we semi ran them already, he got the jump as I didn't know we were racing, but I was overall very satisfied with my car as I stayed with him pretty well. Can't wait for a rematch next week.[8D]

Try racing your father's SRT-8, loaded with 4 people, in your auto six shooter
