Default Clutch problems?

so the other day i was racing my friends turbo s13 (silvia) and from the dig it was going pretty good, went to shift into 2nd and it connected nicely, i took the clutch out and was slammin the gas and just as i was going to shift into 3rd it kicked out of gear and the gears ground for a second. we come to a stop at the next set of lights and i put my clutch in and it made this metal on metal grinding noise. i assumed my clutch was almost shot but it was still driving, and shifting nicely, but there was just that grinding noise. so we let the car cool down for like an hour. go to start up the car and the noise was gone. it drives fine the clutch isnt spongy or anything, does anyone have any ideas on what could have happened and if i should get my clutch changed soon?

thanks

Bad u bolt on the driveshaft, bad syncrose, maybe nothing, in any since, bring it to a shop and have it checked out ASAP.

Well mines at 112 so I just changed out the clutch, although it didn't need to be changed, but I wanted to upgrade to a stage 1 racing clutch. But I'm having a u bolt problem on the driveshaft, so I guess I'll bring it in on Monday to get that fixed.
