yea i agree, if ya want a deeper sound on the six, then go with headers, and if you want an ever better sound with some performance then go with cams too.

LT's will make a big difference in sound though. aftermarket shorties will sound identical to the stockers

Not 100% sure, but I believe it has to do with the bolt patterns. Problem is the 98 Mustangs are the half breeds as their part 99-04 and part 94-97, like I said, not 100% sure but I think it's because of either the bolt pattern, or problably one of the emissions controles.

you have to modify the EGR pipe in 97 LT's to work with the 98's EGR. that's the only difference. no on make a 98 specific LT but 97's will work with alittle work

The only difference between the headers over the years is where the EGR hook up is located. I have headers made for the 2002 on my 97, but since I have deleted the EGR it has no effect.
