Default Quick race question

I know this ******* who thinks he can kick the crap outta my car, calling it a "Pusstang", and ****. He says he wants to race. He drives a 95 Nissan Maxima, 3.0 V6, 5 speed. Only mods are a fart can and a CAI. I looked up the specs, and it says it's got 190bhp and 205 ft/lbs of torque.

Now I got a 2004 V6 auto, and I'm installing my MAC dual cat back with h-pipe (stock cats, just the h adapter for now) next week. I'll have it on by then. I know I'll only get like 3 or 4 rwhp from that.

Only reason I'm asking cause he's a gambler (like, really bad habit), and I figure it'll be an easy $50 or so. But I wasn't entirely sure, cause I know the newer Maximas are badass. Not sure about the 95's though. So what'cha guys think? Easy $50?

depending on how he shifts...it could go either way.

I'm not sure how well of a driver he is or how the Maxima's tranny stacks up but it based off stock numbers it sounds like a close drivers race. You being auto at the moment makes it seem a little more ify to me. If you had that 5-speed swap already, UDP or a shift kit for the auto I would say you'd probably have him and could take the $50. Somebody with 95-ish Maxima knowledge back this up. I take those 90's fart can Maximas every now and then in the 5.0 but I'm not sure how well it would stack up against an auto 6....since I'm so far ahead by the end[8D]

Well, he sucks at driving. He messed up another car's clutch trying to powershift. And I remember seeing him drive away once. You could tell he let off the gas to press the clutch and shift. The car slowed down as he was shifting, lol.

i'd beware. those things are pretty quick stock, like mid fifteens (probably not with such a ****ty driver though). they have less power, but they also weighed like 3000 lbs so it probably weighs as much or even less than your car. i wouldn't try and push him on the top end cause i think he will have more.

If you were manual it would be really close, but that auto is gonna kill you. Better work on launching, because that's what's gonna kill you or make you in this race.

turn off TCS and around 5000 RPMs pull the shifter lever back into the 2 postion and hold it there to 5400 rpms in second then go back to D

do this with the Trac off or it will bog you down shifting into second cause it will cut the tires loose

Yeah, D2D shifting was definately in the play book. I'd take out the spare tire, jack, school books, etc...

And I'm a pretty good launcher. I practice at stop lights every now and then when it's late and nobody around. He sucks at launching. He can't even really shift right. Oh, and he uses ricer math. His CAI gave him about 20 hp and the fart can another 20, lol.
