if you don't already have a tuner to adjust your speedo, expect close to a grand after everything installed.

Either or would do just fine, the T-lok would probably be cheaper. At any rate, do some searching around, you might find that getting an axle from a GT that already has T-lok might be cheaper. I picked up an 8.8 for $200, it was freshly rebuilt too. Anyway, gears should run right around $200, install I wouldnt pay anymore than $250-$300.

http://www.brothersperformance.com/ sells rebuilt 8.8" rear ends with the gears already in, and if you have a way to get your car fully off the ground, and a haynes manual, this is something you could "PROBABLY" do yourself, but if you feel, in any way that you can't, get a shop to do the install.

Gears - $170-200

T-Lok (will just fine for you) - $200
True Trac (a little overkill, but overkill isn't always a bad thing) - $450

Bearing Kit - $70

Tuner - $300-400 new

Install - $250-450

I got the rear end from a salvage yard I go to regularly, so the guy cuts me REALLY sweet deals. Right now hes looking for a good running 302 for me, he said $300 from intake to oilpan. But Ive bought LOTS of big parts from him (engines, transmissions, axles), not to mention Ive been going to the same place for YEARS. But your best bet is to call around, the more places the better. That and you can always play them off of each other, tell them you got quoted $X.XX from this other yard, could they match it, more than likely they will. Hell he was going to sell me a 1990 GT rolling chassis with full interior for $50. I just didnt have a way of transporting it unfortunatly [:@].
